Introducing Dr. Jolene Gagnon

Since early college, Dr. Gagnon knew that she wanted to enter the healthcare profession, but was uncertain as to which path to pursue. After shadowing several professions, she developed an interest in chiropractic through seeing how it benefited patients. She states, “…it was different from every other approach that I had seen.”

Excelling through her coursework, Dr. Gagnon is now a Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner (CCEP). She describes herself as a tool to helping patients take an active role in their health.

Growing up in Kent, Dr. Gagnon is happy to return to the Puget Sound area and maintains an active lifestyle through running, biking, and various local sports teams.

Dr. Lorri Asks some important questions of interest to Federal Way residents - Chiropractor Federal Way Dr. Lorri Asks...

What's the difference between chiropractic and medicine?
Medical treatment focuses on the disease or the symptom. Chiropractic focuses on the person with the disease or the symptom. Medical treatment usually involves changing blood chemistry. Chiropractic involves restoring nervous system integrity. Medical doctors prescribe medicine. Chiropractors adjust the spine—a common source of nervous system interference.
Are chiropractors just concerned with the spine?
Our interest in the spine is because it covers the major communications conduit between your brain and your body. As a Federal Way chiropractor my job is to locate areas (usually along the spine) that interfere with proper nerve communications to and from your brain. Chiropractic adjustments help restore nervous system integrity. In this way, chiropractic care can affect the function of your entire body.
